What you'll need:
8 slices of provolone cheese ( i like to go to the deli and have them slice it for me )
Carbone spicy vodka sauce + heavy cream
3 eggs
1.5 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 cup flour
grated parmesan for topping
fresh basil (for topping, optional)
avocado oil or any hight heat oil.
Seasonings i used :
italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt & pepper ( measure with your heart)
Directions:
Add the breadcrumbs to a shallow bowl and season with all seasonings listed above. Mix well.
In a separate shallow bowl, add the flour and season with the same seasonings Mix well.
In another shallow bowl crack 3 eggs, season with salt and pepper & whisk.
Press 2 slices of provolone together around the edges so they stick. Repeat for the remaining slices.
Dredge each provolone “patty” in flour → egg → flour → egg → breadcrumbs, in that order.
Place on a tray and freeze for 1 hour.
Warm up the Carbone Spicy Vodka sauce and add heavy cream. Set Aside.
Fry your provolone in hot oil over medium-high heat, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
Top with grated parmesan and fresh basil. Serve with the spicy vodka sauce and enjoy!
