Greek-Style Smashed Tacos

What you’ll need:
Makes 4 smashed tacos
1lb ground beef
1 tbsp fresh dill + more for topping (chopped)
1tbsp fresh mint + more for topping (chopped)
4 garlic cloves (finely minced)
1/4 cup red onion ( finely chopped)
1 tsp each of paprika , garlic powder, onion powder, oregano
1.5 tsp of kosher salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Pita bread
Trader joes garlic spread-dip
Tzatziki sauce
Crumbled feta with Mediterranean herbs
TOPPINGS: English cucumber, diced red onion, tomatoes, dill , mint, flaky sea salt
Directions:
Add your beef to a bowl and add in dill, mint, all the seasonings listed above, garlic, onion and mix until well combined. Form meat into 4 balls.
Add some of the garlic spread to your pita bread.
Heat up your griddle or cast iron skillet over medium heat.
Once heated add your meat to the griddle, and place the pita bread on top and smash down with a burger press. Let it cook for about 4 minutes.
Flip over and cook for another 1-2 mins
And top with all the toppings. I like to add more garlic spread, tzakiti, english cucumber,tomatoes,onions, feta, dill, mint & flaky sea salt. ENJOY!
