Smash Burger

What you’ll need:
*this makes 3 double smashed burgers*
2 onions(diced)
1.5 tbsp butter
1 lb ground beef 80/20
Hamburger buns + mayo
Salt & pepper
American cheese
For the burger sauce:
1/2 cup of mayo
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp mustard
2-3 tbsp dill pickles ( diced)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp sugar
1t tsp pickle juice
Salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
Add butter to a skillet on medium heat. Once butter melts add in your onions and a pinch of salt . Sauté for about 10-12 mins.
To a bowl combine mayo, ketchup , mustard, pickles, pickle juice, garlic powder ,smoked paprika, sugar , salt & pepper and mix well. Adjust seasonings if necessary.
Form your beef into 2.5 oz balls.
Add a thin layer of mayo to your burger buns and toast them.
Heat your griddle or cast iron skillet on medium high heat for 2 mins.
Place balls on griddle and smash as hard as you can & season with salt and pepper.
Cook for 2 minutes & flip over.
Add your cheese and add some of the sautéed onions. Once the cheese has melted assemble your burgers and enjoy.
